Foodbank E-vouchers
Our foodbank works using an e-referrals only system. Find out more about how we work.
Wyke Foodbank operates an e-referrals system to ensure we provide appropriate support to local people facing a food crisis. This system helps us work efficiently with trusted partners and ensures that every food parcel reaches someone truly in need.
How the E-Voucher System Works:
- Referral by Local Agencies:
- When you are facing a crisis and struggling to afford food, local care professionals and support agencies can refer you to us. These partners include Citizens Advice, children’s centres, support workers, and health visitors.
- They will gather some basic information from you to complete the e-voucher. This helps them understand the cause of your crisis and offer the most appropriate support, often connecting you to other services.
- E-Voucher Issued:
- Once the agency confirms your need, they will issue an electronic foodbank e-voucher directly to us. This is a quick and secure way to process your request.
- Parcel Arrangement & Delivery/Collection:
- After we receive your e-voucher, we will contact you on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 10am and 12pm to arrange your food parcel.
- Parcels are delivered to clients in BD6 & BD12 postcode areas. For those in BD13 & BD19, collection from The Hub will be arranged.
- Each food parcel provides essential, nutritionally balanced food items, tailored to your household’s size and needs, to help you through your immediate crisis.
Why E-Vouchers?
The e-voucher system ensures that our support is directed to those most in need, based on a professional assessment of their situation. It helps us maintain accurate records, manage our resources effectively, and work collaboratively with local services to provide comprehensive support.
Are You a Referral Agency?
We are always looking to partner with local organisations and charities who work with people in crisis. If your organisation is interested in becoming a registered e-voucher holder, please contact us directly to learn more about the process.
